Siemens Games will act as a technology partner and equipment supplier as part of the Kolskaya Wind Farm construction project in the Murmansk Region.

For Siemens Gamesa, this is a crucial step in localizing the company's products. The production of wind turbine generators has been launched at the Siemens Gas Turbine Technology site in the Leningrad Region.

With a set capacity of 201 MW, the Kolskaya Wind Farm is currently the largest wind farm under construction beyond the Arctic Circle. The construction will be carried out by Enel Green Power, a division of the Enel Group responsible for the development, construction and operation of renewable energy facilities around the world.

The wind farm, whose completion is scheduled for 2021, involves investments in the amount of approximately 273 million euros.
